WOW!

What a magnificent photo of Queta enjoying running along the river’s edge

Queta's parents travelled from Brisbane to give Queta and her mate Tikkani their first snow experience. The family spent six days here at Elm Cottage enjoying rural life to the max.

Dad tells me I've gotta tell everyone about the up and coming events, cause there's heaps going on in the region... yeah, yeah, yeah...

First up and just around the corner is 'Lanterns on the Lagoon'. Each year it's held in September, so pencil in Saturday September 20th. The event from all accounts is the creation of Virginia Robinson, a local business owner that's put her heart and soul into the project. What's it about? Simple, Lanterns on the Lagoon is a free outdoor sculpture exhibition and competition with the day finishing off at dusk when hundreds of lanterns are lit and floated on the lagoon... Where? Pioneer Park, downtown Tumut.

Yep there's more, he who must be obeyed has spoken, but there's doggy things I could be doing, like enjoying a bone in the sun, teasing Max, boy have I been giving her a hard time.......with Mary's help of course, what's that Dad says when Mum has a go, boys will be boys.

Anyway back to the blog. Next up it's off to Batlow for the Apple Blossom Festival on October 18th, where they're going a little bit Country, hang on,.. since when was Batlow anything but a little bit country. Besides the organisers getting a little bit confused here, it's a great family day out, food, markets, art, photography and collectibles, there's live music and entertainment for the kids,.. what no mention of pets... what about a bone munching comp... or are we just to tag along and look good?

You know I've pulled dad aside and had a word with him, I reckon they should make Tumut, the pet friendly town, better still a pet friendly shire, what do you reckon?
Yeah I know back to the blog... Geez... I nearly forgot next weekend there's the annual Tumut Valley fly in. The Tumut Aero Club puts this gig on and its full of activities on and off the airfield, look at the planes and talk to the pilots. Remember those magnificent men in their flying machines... surely this has got to be a dog friendly event after all man's best friend...

I could bark on all day about the events, but I need a breather, besides I just saw Max walk by, I think she needs some attention... till next time.
