We had a great time at Elm Cottage and highly recommend them to anyone searching for a relaxed, peaceful get away. We stayed in the River’s Edge Cottage with four adults and four med/large dogs. There was heaps of room to hang out together as well as options for solitude throughout the property. The yard was huge and well fenced for dogs who are disinclined to jump/escape. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a nice big dining table as well as a couple of outdoor seating/eating options. We had close, easy access to the river for swimming and watching the platypus colony across the bank. Would definitely visit again!

Another fabulous multi-generational family Christmas at the beautiful and tranquil Elm Cottage. This was our second Elm Cottage (Yellow Box) Christmas and again we had a fantastic time. Every visit is different, but with that lovely, familiar feeling. The beauty of this property has us all relaxed the moment we drive through the gates. It’s a delight to cook in the extremely well appointed and spacious kitchen, eat on the balcony overlooking the river, and wander aimlessly along the manicured paths spotting wombats, a multitude of birdlife, rabbits, not to mention getting up close and personal with the cows and sheep. We all sleep extremely well in the very comfortable beds, waking refreshed to do it all again. Thanks Dave and Deb for providing such a special place for us.

Sitting on the verandah of River Gum, one of several cottages in the Elm Cottage complex, having a cup of tea in the early morning, sun rising behind me, and the river Goobagandra flowing peacefully below. Four blue wrens twitter and fly around below me, yellow tail cockatoos fly over and the kookaburras sing and laugh in the background. Cows and sheep wander around the paddock. We were a group of 5 adults with cousins catching up for a long weekend, just perfect for us. River Gum has three good size bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped and a good quality gas BBQ is on the verandah. A perfect place to wake up in the morning.

The location is fantastic – the views are gorgeous! The river and hills in one direction, hills and paddocks with sheep, lambs and cattle grazing in the other direction. Beautiful sunsets, visits from wombats. We stayed in Yellow Box and it was perfect for us. It is fresh, new and clean, with a great floor-plan. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds and linen excellent quality. There is air-conditioning when it gets cold at night – and we also used the camp fire beside the river. We cooked our own breakfasts and dinners and the facilities were ideal.
