As well as the vast experiences you can have on the Goobarragandra River from the privacy of your accommodation at Elm Cottage, the region has a great range of lakes, dams and rivers for the water enthusiast. Waterskiing and wake boarding is popular at the nearby dams at Blowering and Talbingo which have huge open expanses of water (70 kms) with numerous launching spots for your own boats.
The nearby Tumut River offers opportunities for kayakers although the river can be fast-flowing and you must check water levels and flow rates beforehand. Kayaking in the Tumut River is not recommended for the inexperienced or faint hearted! The Goobarragandra river offers plenty of opportunities for those wanting a leisurely drift downstream with the current on a large sized inner tube. Fun for all the family. Fun for all the family.
